Show off your speed

Current speed in the student center at school. Don't let the numbers fool you, it's quite slow.

I want my provider is adding some upload soon....
Why has US that good upload speeds :'(.
I got 4mb/s upload, enough to run a minecraft server with 30 people max, if I want no lagg :S. And soon I'm running a database with online scores on my server, so I need that upload speed! XD.
How much mb/s upload would it use max, a website+online database?
If it's not sufficient, I'll hire one... Which is waste of money :S

Wow. School's network on ethernet.

While us people in suffolk have it worse than you :(

People living in rural Norfolk get really bad speeds too. I know people who live in villages near here and the speed is very bad. I reckon if you lived closer to Ipswich or Bury your speeds would be much better. I only get fairly decent speeds (though they are still bad compared to the rest of the country) because I live near Norwich, which is a city.

Not happy considering im paying £37.50 a month for 50mb/s,which they have suppose to have doubled to 100mb/s ,and they're putting up the prices soon.

The speeds are not the main problem though,Its how they manage traffic with their fair use policy crap..my web crawls some days just browsing pages normal...and youtube..i say no more.

roll on BT infinity in my area then goodbye Virgin.

I love Comcast now! There was an issue with my service and I was getting the performance speeds of 24/4, so I called up and they said I was supposed to be getting Blast! speeds, he changed some code and now I get double the speed!

$50/mo for this and basic cable. :)
