Windows 7 "iPad"

Typing on a tablet is a real pain, and that is with a 9" tablet, I can only imagine it would be worse on a 7" tablet. There is no way I would want to use a tablet for serious work. But that is just my personal opinion.
Again it is an excellent device for browsing the internet, for watching videos on, for playing games on. It isn't buggy, the battery lasts for ages. Yes it is seriously flawed by the inability to install your own programs outside of the app store. I am not blind to its many faults.
But to call it a novelty and a toy is the most opinionated comment in the whole thread, and then you complain about others for being opinionated....

I called both of them that to push a point to that member. They aren't quite a toy, but they are a novelty for lack of a better word, imo. Give them a better term and I will accept it.

I hope there's a screen protector on that thing!

Good point about the typing. I do like that they've included USB ports on there...a wireless/portable keyboard (and mouse?) would be a good addition. Maybe one of those weird fold-up ones you see at gamestop?

Maybe you should go back and recap what I said initially?

I came simply stating my opinion about the product in question.

After that, I was attacked.

Lol, Oh really. And you did absolutely no provoking.

Did you want a hug? Attacks like this can be devastating.

Ok, not sure what I'm lookin for here. I see you saying something and me saying something, nothing related to attacking.

This, and the iPad, are just things for people who have too much money. For right now anyway, maybe when the price goes down...

The device looks nifty. The fact that I can hook up a keyboard is a huge plus for me. And since there is a real OS on which I can actually do things like FF, or just plain install normal programs, is a plus too.

But still a waste of money.

I agree with that^

I think the iPad seems to be the ideal endpoint device that can allow users more productive wherever they are, and you can safely give the company hosted virtual desktops and applications with confidence, Fleck wrote.

sounds like a laptop.
