Windows 7 "iPad"

Hey, that one looks pretty nice. Another thing i dont need though, I touchscreened my 9" netbook like a year ago. Now if they bring out an ion powered tablet on win 7, now THAT would be awesome.

Looks like a laggy turd, although it may work better with Aero turned off.

Screen goes blank when the unit is rotated...

Touch doesn't look like it works the best.

And who the heck is CTL anyway...?

All this is to do with windows, not the tablet maker. If you've used a newer netbook you know what it's gonna perform like with win 7, and I certainly find it usable.

The screen goes blank because it is changing the screen resolution. Find me a computer that doesn't do that. Android and iOS can get away without this because the OS was built with rotating in mind. Any windows based tablet just simply will not get this unless a software company decided to write some code for at least 2 versions of windows.

Touch looked fine..

All in all for a windows based tablet which is what I prefer it looks pretty nice.

2nd that

Windows, and even 7 at that is not made for Tablets or touchsceens. Yes it works but windows was not designed around a tablet/touch like Android and iOS. What someone really needs to come out with is a Android touch tablet with an Atom and an SSD.

iPad's don't do that...

No matter the reason, it still looks like a laggy turd.

Touch functionality looks bad also.

This is no substitute for an iPad, especially at that price.
iPad isn't a computer, its a closed, proprietary platform.

The cius will be far better than the iPad in my book, granted it's going to cost quite a bit, but it will be a functional business device(not going to be something that shocks the home market ala iPad though).

iPad isn't a computer

I'd post a link of the definition of the word "computer" but I don't care enough.

This device was created to compete directly with the iPad obviously,
and to me, it's no where near what an iPad is, no matter what
you want to call it.

Anything that looks like an iPad will be held to the same standard. (in my book)

I'm just stating my opinion, same as everyone else.

I'd argue that an iPad is a computer as well (as much as I don't want to).

I think the biggest thing that may hold this back is it's size, it looks pretty fat relative to the iPad.

How much more can an ipad do than an itouch????? and I'm not asking what it can do 'faster' or 'better'. But what capabilities it has that touch doesn't.

....really?? Alright, I'll spell it out for you, find me a x86 or x64 based full fledged computer that does that. iPad runs on iOS...which comes from a phone...which is most certainly not what I think about when I say computer.

When I think Tablet, I think full fledged computer shrunk down to tablet form. Not an oversized phone. But then again thats just me.
