Not necessarily, many high end PSUs only have one +12V rail. In fact, many people prefer single rails because there is no risk that one of the rails might get overloaded.(perferably dual rail)
Actually, dual +12V rails are arguably worse with SLI, as there's a greater chance of overloading one of the rails (since both graphics cards are powered off it). It's not an issue most of the time, of course.i.Angel said:If you arn't going to get SLi, then you don't really need dual +12v rails.
