Show off your speed



Nothing to be jealous of but (I'm pretty sure) it's really cheap. I've never really been frustrated with it. Looking at other peoples numbers, I guess I simply don't know what I'm missing (but since its saving money, I'll keep it that way).

Don't even say Virgin.......omg they are so baddd its crazy.

fast.co.uk is the best company in UK, speed doesn't drop during peak hours and pings are rock solid.

There are many more like Virgin Media but they all lease off BT unless it's cable. Throughout the UK, other than the city of Hull, BT is the only provider of it's network, the rest just lease the lines.

While only BT and cable phone suppliers actually own telephone lines, BT now has to offer other suppliers the opportunity to rent its lines. This is called Wholesale Line Rental. The major benefit is that you receive one bill from your new supplier for your line rental and calls. You also keep your number and no work is required on your phone line.

Kingston Communication will not allow BT into the city of Hull, which means the likes of Virgin cannot lease any lines and offer an alternative.

Not bad, trying out one of the higher speed tiers. Might upgrade if I want a faster upload, but so far everything is great. They even installed their equipment for Uverse in the basement of the building.

And thats even on a good day! Internet in south africa is terrible. There stupid advets that say "New internet connection, up to 1Mb/s!".

Now for us, thats amazing. Its three times what I get now! Also three times the price then, $100 per month.
