Hi,
My first post here.
The front power button, which lights up blue when the computer is On, won't turn the computer on or off. The Blue light is Not on. Pushing the power button causes nothing new to happen.
A couple of small lights on the front of the computer are on continually- like the little light on the DVD player, and a LITTLE light about an inch below the power button above some tiny icon that looks like a can, and the fan is running, but the computer doesn't seem to be turning on or off... I don't recall if these lights are usually lit when the computer is Off, buy I doubt it.
I've tried unplugging, holding the button in for 10 seconds, tapping on it etc. The fan and vent are clean
The monitor is Blank, but the light that shows the monitor is on, is blinking.
JUST before this happened, without me doing anything, the screen read, "Windows is shutting down"- then the above condition followed.
Is this a power button issue? is there a fuse somewhere?
If there is a fuse, where is it located?... do I have to open the case?
Thanks,
Bill
