who has it? i picked it up this morning, i'm on the second mission... so far it's incredible, very cinematic. runs smooth as silk on high @ 1024 resolution. the oil tanker mission was pretty crazy...i felt like i was going to get motion sickness from it. the voice acting for the SAS soldiers is spot on. normally voice acting with british accents in video games is.... unfavorable.

They should actually hire some British people to do if for a change! :P

It looks amazing, it isn't out here in the Uk just yet though :(

Is this game the one in modern warfare? or is it still in WW2?

Must be a very good game :D

Single player is good, but most people who will buy this game are in it for multiplayer. Multiplayer is ranked and supports 32+ players right?

i was reading in the computer magaine i buy called "Computer active" and from a poll they done or something Many gaming fans found their powerfull Pcs could not handle the call of duty 4 demo at max and required most of them to upgrade .
is cod4 heavy on system resources then guys?
not that im planning running it on my current rig lol:D

I would rather hear a British accent than someone with a country accent like mine in the game, hopefully not some Indian accents...

min video card is the ati 9800 sorry mate i know this coz i have the same card you have

i wouldnt even attempt to run the demo of it on this system i have anyway mate....it just wouldnt happen lol.

I don't know why people are complaining about the game being a system hog. I'm running it butter smooth at 1280x960 with everything maxed out except antialiasing and antistropic filtering (both 2x) and my graphics card is a 7900GS.

You're lucky. My 7900GT has trouble with nearly rock bottom settings. It also seems to run better on Vista v. XP.

Apparently its a mixed situation for most. Some run it well, some don't. I don't get why people are suprised to see that it doesn't run as well as the demo.

As for the actual game; single player is a masterpiece despite a few small flaws. I haven't messed around too much with multiplayer yet but I'm sure it's just as good.

it ran maxed out on this pc quite easy... so its not really heavy imo

i think you misunderstood what i was saying :D

i love british accents as much as the next guy, but when they are being recorded by suburban american software programmers named bob it just doesn't work out. i'm glad to see they got some authentic voices in

The game is awesome. I started playing on hardened mode (can you believe that they actually recommend hardened mode for your first play through?) and my god is it intense. A single burst of rounds and you're dead. A single piece of shrapnel and you're dead. A single well placed sniper bullet (even in a non-critical area) and you're dead. It's like you actually fear for your own life at times :D.

I'm about half way through the game so far and I'm thoroughly impressed. The singleplayer campaign is only meant to last 8 hours but that's understandible. It's incredibly cinematic without relying too heavily on scripted events and actually keeps you interested in the story. What's more, the gameplay is surprisingly varied. It's not all cover-shoot-repeat, you get some really memorable moments like being the gunner on an AC130 gunship or seeing the world through the eyes of a soon to be executed politician who is driven through the war-torn streets of a dusty middle-eastern town.

Simply put, this game puts other first person shooters to shame. And yes...I do mean Halo 3 when I say that.

lol, You guys should come to England, we don't all talk like that, but you may find a few :P

i've had the privilege of traveling often... been to england twice. i love everything about it but the weather. :D i could see myself living there later in life

I was so upset yesterday. I went to pick it up at Gamestop (of course I forgot to reserve it) and they didn't have any copies. Then I tried Wal-Mart and they didn't have any copies so I guess I'll just have to wait. :(

Yeah, the weather sucks! At the moment, we have flood warnings on the East Coast!
