How many people here dislike microsofts recent program that tells you if your copy of windows is legal.


I know i don't because it thinks one of my perfectly legal versions that is currently only installed on one computer, the same computer it was installed on when it was purchased is ilegal.

Also i read the other day on google tech news that some people have filed a class action law suite against microsoft about it.
 
There have been numerous lawsuits against Microsoft for installing this on users PC's without proper permission to do so.

I dislike it. Even though I have a Genuine copy, all of this validation and activation stuff gets me really annoyed.

Yeah i agree with the quote above,Even though i also have a genuine copy it is annoying,
 
I dislike it and removed it as soon as I could. I have a fully legal and paid-for license to use my copy. I resent and reject being treated like a criminal and having to repeatedly prove my legal status.

Dislike. It is quite annoying. It's good that they're trying to crack down on the illegal machines. Mine is perfectly legal, and it still bothers me.
 
I hate how its using a "Guilty until proven innocent" logic, i cannot stand the thing.

It's actually a noob that bumped it. tkcrabby or something? I thought this was a recent until you brought that up.. :P That explains why the poll was closed.. lol
 
I work at a repair shop and we have to do reformats we go to activate (we only use keys that there computers come with) and sometimes it wont activate only so we have to call them and talk to a computer who is a complete retard and punch in a butt load of numbers and you get one number wrong and you have to do it all over again and one time after doing all that the genuine advantage crap said it was illegal so I had to call them up and tell them about it and had to do a bunch of crap. It was so freaking ridiculous...

Microsoft I hate you! Well without it I would not have a job lol. But still. Stick with Mac or Linux, microsoft is the dark side!!!!
