Windows 7 or Windows Vista?

i would say stick to windows vista atleast tll the first service pack for 7 has been released...well thats what i am planning to do.
 
After a few days experience with 7 on a Laptop it seems much quicker including start up and shutdown times, the latter is now a single click much simpler than Vista or XP

Nah...it already runs better than Vista with service packs....and its still in RC stage so they may have improved further when it hits the shops.

They actually say Win 7 may be less space than Win XP... if that's true, I'm gonna eat an oreo... and if it's not true, I'll eat a chips ahoy.

I agree!!

Things wrong with vista and that where fixed in Win 7

-Performance
-Bootup times
-SSD support

Those alone are more than enough for me to switch over to win 7
 
Definitely go with Windows 7, I've been using the RC for months now and really like it. 7 was designed to basically build upon, and improve what Vista built. From what I've read and personally seen 7 is a pretty solid OS.

Yea...Vista did have a lot of issues when it first came out for two reasons:
A) Microsoft wanted to release it because they were behind on schedule
B) The manufactures pretty much replaced XP with Vista overnight and some of the early "Vista Capable" machines were not exactly Vista capable. A 1GB laptop shouldn't be running Vista, but some manufactures sold machines just like that when Vista first came out. (My brother bought one of those).

Microsoft knew that there would be bugs (they did release it with issues...they were behind on schedule and wanted to get their product out there) so they quickly announced that a Service Pack would be released shortly and the Service Pack did correct most of the issues.

My 4GB laptop is running Vista like a racehorse...I have no problems what-so-ever.
