which build is better?

I don't know a whole lot about overclocking to be honest. :P

I do know that if you're overclocking you'll want to get an aftermarket CPU cooler.

it is fine on stock coolers as long as you monitor the temps and keep it closer to the original clock, but the stock can hold it on a little oc, but if you're looking for like 4+ghz then a quality aftermarket cooler is necessary.

Yes. Not sure if water cooling is necessary but you should easily be able to clock it up to that.

yepp, but is it necessary for additional coolants for a 3.7 oc?

i know an i5 can oc to up to 4.7 - 5.0, but you need massive coolers for that temp.

Like I said. I don't know a whole lot about OCing. I would expect so but if you have a well ventilated case with lots of fans. You MIGHT be able too. Again, not sure.

i'd put it at like 3.5-6 first and monitor your temps, and if all goes well begin to slowly crank it up and test for stability each time so you know it will work right and watch the temps, and you might be able to get closer to 4, each chip will act differently, some will never exceed 4 no matter, and some will hit 5+ with great cooling.
