whats the difference between dvd burner and dvd writer?
for example, is it worth it to buy this one?

I could be wrong but...its the same thing. It looks okay for simple burning jobs...nothing intense or too often though.

Yes that's right, they're the same thing.

Yep the same thing. The one you listed should do fine. When you see one that says super multi, that normally means that it will write/read DVD- RAM also. Though, I have to say that I don't personally know anyone that uses DVD-RAM.

DVD writer is the aproprita name, burning is more like an everyday talk.
for example, i burned a DVD today.
nothing else.

A quick google can probably answer that better/clearer than us. Nope it is not the normal DVDs that you see. It is enclosed in a casette like case.
