  1. Download PC Wizard from my signature, install and run it, open it and go to FILE, SAVE AS, click on OK and copy the text out of that file into this thread.
  2. Confirm that your monitor is connected to the graphics card output and not the motherboard.
  3. Confirm that you have the PCIe power connector correctly plugged in (photos are a good idea)
  4. Confirm that in the BIOS you have the motherboard PCIe slots set to PCIe 3.0
  5. Confirm that the default / primary video adaptor is PEG/PCIe
  6. Turn off Speed Step in the BIOS.

Try again and post results.

If it continues to be a problem, download MSI Afterburner and install it. Run it and then game for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, close the game and take a screen shot of MSI afterburner with the GPU utilisation, CPU utilisation and temperatures showing.

Well firstly, the GPU doesn't go above 40%, so its not really being utlised.

Secondly, Ive asked you to update Windows, you still have Window 8, not 8.1 and you don't seem to have updated your chipset drivers either.

So, do this:

First, update your BIOS for your motherboard, as its running at 600MHz max, your motherboard needs new CPU codes and then ensure its set to default settings. http://us.msi.com/product/mb/X79AGD45_Plus.html#/?div=BIOS

Then UPDATE Windows to 8.1. Completely update Windows until no updates are available.

Then, download all of the following and install including:

http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/intel_me_x79mb_81.zip

http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/intel_rst_x79_mb_8.1.zip

http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/Intel_Network_Drivers.zip

http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/intel_chipset_x79_mb.zip

Then restart.

Then go here and ensure everything is updated.http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu

well. ok so i started with the first program and after updating bios got black screen for about 3 hours, my computer wouldn't turn off and i was afraid im done for  but then got some courage and hit the power button to turn it off manually, turned it on again and it powered without problems :D whew, man that was a bare miss.

so this is the program screen

no way in hell am i installing that thing tho
although i got about other 20 programs during all this process :/ idk what to do with them yet

Then updated everything in windows this time i found out how

I totally hate the windows 8.1 tho, the task bar is ugly as it could be :/ + that start button that i wont use since im already use to win 8 without one but anyway

This is what i got after installing everything and checking on that website you told me to.

last option is the only one it lets me update, but even then after updating it and restarting, i go back to the website to check it again, and it still tells me i got an older version and theres the one i just installed available for download

But after all that, i went back into arma and viola i got good average 35fps, not the best i could wish for, but waaay better than 10fps i had before, so im happy with it, i took a screeny of the newer task manager and speed looks alot faster

+ the pc wiz says 3800 for speed now, compared to 600 previously

I think it fixed it, idk what it was but it looks like its good now, tyvm man ur a genius :good:, do you think there's something else i should swap in my rig???

Good.

Now download and install this. Restart.

Now go here and check you have the latest graphics drivers, and then here and check you have the latest DirectX.

Restart.

Now download and install this. Restart.

Download and install this, run it.

Download and install this. Run it, and Defrag and Optmise all drives.

Restart.

Open Steam. Right Click on ArmA and click properties. Select Local Files. Click on Verify Game Cache.
