a higher ghz rating doesn't mean a nicer CPU. moreover, celerons are budget processors, though over the years they have gotten better. most will agree that AMD is better than Intel for gaming.

ghz doesn't mean much... a AMD Athlon X2 4200+ at 2.2GHz will beat a Intel Pentium D 930 at 3GHz...

or at gaming a Athlon 64 at 2.2GHz will beat a Pentium 4 at 3.2GHz...

Intel has faster clock speeds, but AMD processes more data per clock rate...

wut is ur budget for getting a PC?

If you want to game go with a AMD Athlon 64. BTW I would save up until you at least get over 600 dollars to build your pc.

The speed in GHz doesnt make the processor good or bad necessarily. Id go with an AMD Athlon 64 of some kind, the smoke Intel's in the gaming department.

You really cant tell how good a cpu speed is in terms of Ghz. The Pentium 4 has very high clock speeds, but it doesnt mean that its better than a Pentium M which runs slower.

If you want a good low budget gaming pc, go with an AMD Sempron, not a Celeron.
