You think it's funny but it's really true. They start you at 8.50 to be a package handler IE unload or load trailers. You're expected to be able to lift up to 70 lbs by yourself and keep a constant rate of 1200 packages an hour unloading. You're constantly breaking your back to try to keep up from getting yelled at. And it's pretty much the same ordeal with loading only boxes come flying down this shoot at you and you have to keep up with those. At the end of a shift you're back feels like it's on fire and you wanna jump in an ice pool. So miserable. The part where the packages get smashed is when the package handlers just get pissed that they work for ups for 8.50 and constantly yelled at then....kicking and punching boxes comes naturally, or just completely step on them on to get out a belly trailer.
