when i play a game, say guild wars, it will play without freezing anywhere for 1 second to 1 1/2 hours. I have already determined that its not because my gfk card is overheating, or that it is not good enough. I'm almost 100% certain. it is the drivers. I have tried everything, but it keeps telling me that the drivers have not passed XP logo testing, which isn't my biggest problem. After that error there is another error which say the following: "Zero display service error." I've already googled it, and have tried to follow guides on how to fix it, but they didn't work. Any ideas? any help will be appreciated

My card is a MSI X300SE.

There's got to be a particular conflict between the game and some other program that is running at the same time... Before you start up the game, check to see what other programs are running in the background. Or, if you know there are other programs running that don't need to be, shut them down, and see how that goes. Hopefully it's just a program conflict that is having the side-effect of freezing the game. (I know it sounds far-fetched, but stranger things have happened to me ;))

yes, i tried that and it did not seem to work. right now i am getting very desperate...no one knows how annoying it is to build a machine and see it fail. does anyone else have any ideas? tomorrow i am calling everyone i can think of (manufacters)

What settings are you running guild wars at. The x300se is a low-level card, very low. Around the ati 9600 equivalent. Probably can run guild wars only at lowest settings and that's with very good cpu and lots of ram. If its crashing, its because the gfx card can't handle those settings. My card will freeze fs2004 at highest settings with aa,etc. at 1280x1024 shortly after loading the scenery and starting the simulation. Guild wars requires way more than microsoft fs 2004. BTW i don't feel any heat on the card either. It could also be a psu problem, not enough power. Or just some bad code in the game.

Yeah, i just ordered a GeForce 6600GT From newegg-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130214
because i came to the solution that it was not powerful enough, or it was a faulty card. and i was just sick of ATIs customer support. And its not my PSU, CPU, or memory. I have an Antec truepower 2.0 430w (like 34 amps on two 12v rails) and and an AMD 64 3000+ (skt 939) and 1gb corsair value ram.

when i made this comp i knew everything was great except the graphics card...so now with this 6600gt hope fully it will help out..full specs:

ANTEC TRUEPOWER 2.0 430w
MSI K8N Neo4-F
AMD 64 3000+ (with thermalright XP-90)
1 GB corsair ram
Western digital 80gb hardrive (SATA)
EVGA 6600GT graphics card
