VCR bay

You mean...to play video's on your computer? I dont think so, although it would be a pretty smart idea. What you need is a VCR and a TV card.
 
Can you describe what you think a vcr drive bay is? Maybe it's called something else. There are a few capture cards that have audio and video drive bays, here's one Turtle Beach.

He means a VCR that uses a molex for power and fits into a 5.25" bay. As far as I know, no. Tuner/Capture card + VCR as already mentioned.
 
Yeah, it would be sort of wide. But I guess you could fit it in longways, although that would take up a hell of a lot of space
 
There is, or was a device that actually used VCR tapes(well, it also required a VCR) as data tapes. Basically like old audio tapes used on computers like the TRS-80... I have also used something that allows for data to be written to any miniDV or Digital8 camcorder though firewire... I don't know if this was bascially what you were asking, or if it was more along the lines of a capture card as others mentioned.
