toshiba satellite c660 error message

my laptop boots, but just stays at a black screen. it then goes to a screen which says "windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device, File: \Boot\BCD, status:0xc00000e9". is there anyway i can fix this?

Test your hard drive with the HDD manufacturer diagnostic.

Most likely your boot files are corrupted. But do the hdd check first.
