The perfect desktop accessory

Well my dad's friend works at a state building here as a technician and he sees people using the optical drive bay as a cup holder so it would be useful there. I might get one though so that I don't have to worry about dumping a drink on my desk.

I don't have to worry about dumping a drink on my desk because I don't have a desk. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and my computer hooked up to my TV so I sit on the couch which is nice.

You could modify it and use the cooling part inside ur computer case to turn the inside of ur computer into a fridge?

I can see that working that is actually a pretty good Idea. I'm guessing that would work pretty good if you could get 2 or 3 in there. Then I can mod the humping dog to hump my CPU lol.
Nope, they use TEC's to keep things cold, on the bottom there is a fan or heatsink that gets warm, while the inside gets cold. Between the low power of the usb bus(<5 watts) and the ineffeciency of a tec, your drink would stay colder sticking it on an ac vent as your only removing 2.5W of heat from it.. Inside a pc though, because one side gets warm, and it puts out around twice the heat compared to its cooling capacity, it would if anything HEAT the inside of the case.

Damn it bomber is there anything you don't know. Also could you help me out with my new thread http://www.computerforum.com/154996-can-anybody-recommend-good-gamepad.html.

That one is a hot plate anyway. For some reason they didn't change all the descriptions in the ad, but it isn't the one that makes it cold.

Those don't work very well anyway.
