The new power supply?

I have a Antec 750 which is about 2 years old but never been used so when I tried to build my new system I have wires all over the place. So the link goes to the new Antec 750 which I think allows you to put in just the wires you need so not to have your entire computer crammed full of wires. So if I have to buy a new power supply for my i5 4690 and 115 watt video card then wouldn't this be the power supply I should get?

What specific video card do you have? You most likely don't need but 500 watts to run your system. But yeah, if you can afford modular then get a modular unit.

Sapphire Radeon R7 206X which I have connected to one of the four 6 pin connectors and I don't think it matters which of the four pin connecters. I like the 750 Watt because it give me room to grow.

The 260 only requires a 450 watt psu. Unless you plan on crossfiring then there is no need to get anything bigger than a 500 watt unit. Wasting your money.

Hi! Try to redirect your cables as much as possible out of the way of the case, front intake and rear case exhaust fan / fans airflow instead. Use zip ties and similar. If you look closely and consider your case inner free space. I'm sure you will find ways to do that in a neat way. Some cables you might be able to tuck into free harddrive mounts and similar spaces.

Your 750W will give you a good headroom for the more power hungry cards in the future. Buying a similar just for the sake of beeing a modular one is a waste of money.

I would not waste money on a new power supply, when you have a really good one there.

No matter what power supply you use, you will have a lot of cables to deal with.

Does you case have good cable routing holes ? as mentioned above you have to route your cables through the case to keep it tidy and also take up some length of the cables.

You don`t mention who far along you are in this build, but if you look at most tutorials one of the 1st steps is to fit the power supply. BIG mistake.

It is much easier to get you motherboard in fit cpu and ram, then start by doing your case connections and cable tie them tidily, then fit power supply and do those cables, then finish by installing drives and connecting sata cables.

What case do you have?

As stated, I wouldn't spend the $ just for a modular unit. You can either stuff the wires behind the backplate depending on the case, or manually snip off the extra connectors if you really never envision using them.

It really depends on your case. Most roomy type of ones don't really make a difference.
