Haha, that's about one of the few things that are good here. Other than being safe and green, it's expensive, crowded and there's a mandatory military service of 2 years. Sucks when you wanna go college but stuck doing shitty jobs in camp.
 
Getting Fibre later on today - so these are my speeds at the moment. We'll see how much faster my speeds are once I get home from school. Hopefully Fibre will have been enabled by then. :D

(by the way Norwich isn't 100 miles away - it's about 10 from where I live).

Apparently it peaked today at 51mbps down and about 10mbps up, as expected. At the moment it's about 14mbps down and 5mbps up, but the speeds will fluctuate for a little bit. They'll become faster and more stable in due time. :)

And yes, uploading will be much faster. ;)
 
OK so I was connecting to the wrong server on Speedtest. If I connect to Sheffield (which is where my ISP is based), I get 51mbps down. :)

Upload speed is about half of what it should be, but I need to wait a few days for it to get to the correct speed.

Pretty happy though. I tried downloading some files from Microsoft (XP SP3 exe file and the Windows Automated Installation Kit). Was getting over 1mb/s download speed and it was going to take less than 5 minutes to download XP SP3 (which is about 300MB) and about 20 minutes to download WAIK, which is 1.7GB.

Very similar to my speed before yesterday morning when I was finally upgraded to Fibre. :D

And flippin' heck Rob! I'm finding 51mbps down pretty dang quick, and you have about double my download speed and call it 'ok'? lol!

Just run another Speed Test. My download speed is still what it should be, but the upload speed is about half of what it should be. Gotta wait a few days whilst it gets there I think.
 


I was thinking it was gonna be worse being as im not paying for internet(they shut servise off cause i fell behind on bill but cable guy told me he would leave me connected to main, for free, and i have my own modem)
 
My line is slowly re-profiling itself

I connected the master socket back up about a week ago, because our speeds and reliability was dire, it's sorting itself out now slowly, the next re-profile should see the down speed increase again.

I'm on a 76/19 package
