Say HELL YEAH!!! if you are still using a CRT monitor

I have not used a CRT in maybe 6-8 years. I cannot even remember the last one I had. I remember having one with a Gateway desktop my parents bought when I was in high school...mid 90's or so.

I still have one in the closet, really nice flat screen from 2005-ish. Been trying to get rid of it, but shipping is more then the monitor is worth...

I remember having a really nice Sony Trinitron CRT before my parents separated. Oh well.

Current monitor is in my sig, it's LED backlight which is nice, doesn't take any time at all to "warm up" the backlights like regular LCD's or CRT's

Also had a Viewsonic or Diamond 20" CRT in 2006 or so, when I was living in Perth with my father. All that stuff is still in storage... across the country. Not like my dad paid for it when we moved, so it's likely been pawned off now :(

Hell Yah, I have more than 12 desktop computers and only have 3 LCDs, so go figure, just throw away 2 19" and 21" hitachi monitors.

I still have a 17" Hp CRT monitor in the Loft/Attic...Its not been switched on for at least 2.5 years :D

I wonder if it still works,Probabaly blow up in my face or something :D

hell no, but i do have two thats in my closet. there from the early 90's,and yes they still work...to my knowledge.i actually havent use them in years.

I have 2 in the loft I think. I don't use them anymore, mainly due to the size (both 15" or 17" and HUGE) and the fact that they hurt my eyes, I find that LCD screens are a lot easier to look at for long periods of time.

Also, my current desk wouldn't be big enough for a CRT. I wouldn't have space for my keyboard lol.

I still use my 20" CRT monitor as my sole display.
I plan to get an LCD this year, I mainly kept this monster because I can't stand a resolution that's less than 1280x1024, and this baby gives me a whopping 1600x1200 :D, which is much better than having to use my mother's ancient 1024x768 LCD monitor.

Your picture illustrates one of the great advantages of a CRT. It stops you covering your desk with garbage. There just isn't any room for any. Love the 1950s fan. The router looks really out of place, it's so this century!

That picture is also illustrating one of the great disadvantages of a CRT: You have hardly any room for a keyboard :P
As for the 1950s fan, I bought that a few months ago at Dollar General for $15 new
The router is there because I have a really long 100' cable hooked up to it and all I had left was a short 15" cable which I plugged into my computer. Besides, I take the whole darn setup (excluding the monitor, thank God) places several times a week, so it's nice to have it all in one place instead of scattered, you know?
