Samsung Galaxy Tab E stuck in logo screen

This is my first Samsung Android tablet experience and it is not good.

I bought my wife this for X'mas. Struggling with the new interface (from iPhone users) and loaded the setup and some apps. So far so good.

I plugged it in to charge overnight. This morning, the screen is in the Samsung logo (sometimes, it changed into "power by Android") fading in and out.

Searched the web for solution and tried every one of them. Holding the power button down won't do nothing. Holding the power and volume button down, again, nothing. Holding the power, volume and home button down, the same.

Called their support number and didn't resolve the problem. They told me to send it back to Samsung.

Thought that I'd try here and see if I can resolve it before I call BestBuy to take it back.

Any susggestion?

If holding the power button (like 30 seconds, no joke) doesn't turn it off then it's likely defective.

Took it back to BestBuy and the Geeks tested it and confirmed that it was stuck. I tried getting a replacement but they are out of stock. Gave me full credit and sent me to their tablet aixle to look for something new. I found a non-brand 8" (Insonia) which is a bit lighter than the Samsung @ 1/3 of the original cost ($59.99) and decided to give it a try.

Everything seems to work the way a tablet should. I browsed the web, watched youTube, read my library eBook, posted some picture to faceBook and checked my emails.

Boy, Apple charges about 8x the amount for people doing very much the same thing. Am I the only one who think that the tablet market is like the Kleenex tissue, a basic commodity?

At $59.99, not only it is a commodity, it is a throw away item. I won't lose sleep next time I left it in the back pocket of the plane.
