Hello,
I'm having the same issue but it seems with a more malignant and resistant version of malware
It appeared today and all icons from my desktop disappeared. I eventually managed to run 1. Rkill, 2. Malwarebites, and 3. Unhide in Safe mode and backup my most important files. When run in safe mode, the Rkill produces this log:
This log file is located at C:\rkill.log.
Please post this only if requested to by the person helping you.
Otherwise you can close this log when you wish.
Rkill was run on 05/28/2011 at 1:08:27.
Operating System: Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium
Processes terminated by Rkill or while it was running:
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
C:\ProgramData\yJKUKOsvnrbuJ.exe
C:\ProgramData\36888312.exe
Rkill completed on 05/28/2011 at 1:09:08.
and MwB gives the following log:

I removed the three malware files.
However, when I rebooted and got onto my account in normal mode, the Windows vista recovery window is still there, all kinds of "alerts" keep popping up, I cannot run Rkill coz it either says "Access denied" or gets to rebooting with a blue background and lots of text before it (sorry, I'm too far from being a computer savvy to know what it's called).
Same for Malwarebites, I managed to run it once, but the problem persisted and each time I tried even to set it up it would end up either with a Runtime error 0 or Access denied or both.
Now I installed Hijack This, so the log is as follows:

I don't know what to do now and I absolutely need my laptop working by Monday
DO you think it is possible to get rid of this malware, whatever it is?
Loads of thanks in advance!
Best regards
Rina
I'm having the same issue but it seems with a more malignant and resistant version of malware

I don't know what to do now and I absolutely need my laptop working by Monday

DO you think it is possible to get rid of this malware, whatever it is?
Loads of thanks in advance!
Best regards
Rina
