Is anyone playing RAGE today on PC...what are your PC specs? Specifically what CPU and GPU are you running? How does the game look? Putting a build together and want to make sure I can run RAGE. What are system specs on package? Anyone running on a dual-core?

Thanks!

you should be fine with any modern hardware.

Folks should have no trouble skating by on a dated rig as the game will supposedly run on an Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent AMD processor, 2GB of RAM and a GeForce 8800 or Radeon HD 4200 graphics card.

Meanwhile, if you intend to experience the post-apocalyptic mayhem in all its glory, you'll need at least an Intel Core 2 Quad or AMD equivalent, 4GB of RAM and a GeForce 9800GTX or Radeon HD 5550. Regardless of your processor, memory and graphics configuration, Bethesda says the game requires Windows XP, Vista or 7 along with 25GB (yep, twenty-five gigabytes) of storage

Oh man I didn't even know this was coming out today. I'll be spending so much on games over the next two months.

not meaning to hijack, but... What is rage about?

Post-apocalyptic. The Doom and Quake guys first major release in a while. Check out the trailers on youtube and you'll get a good sense of what they're going for. I've been looking forward to this for a long time and its really the only reason I'm building a new pc.

Thanks for the info guys...I'll be using a Radeon 5750 so that should be fine...so what exactly is AMD equivalent? The term makes sense but are we talking Phenom dual, Athlon quad...? I've got my motherboard already so I will be building an AMD pc, 4gb ram, Radeon 5750.

core 2 = Phenom II x2 in most cases. If your talking about processing power its closer to Core 2 = phenom II x3/x4 They are slow clock for clock.

I know it sounds lame but not being much of a gamer, this pc I'm building is built for RAGE, and a few older games I play. So I really will no need anything more powerful for a few years. What AMD processor would you recommend at lowest cost possible? My motherboard can handle up to 125w but my heatsink/fan 95w. Newegg has some amd athlon x2 for $60 but if that wont handle it they have the x3 for $75, or would a phenom x2 be better than the athlon x3?

the best for a low cost would be a 555BE or 955. The 955s are excellent performance for the money.

I dont think that the Athlon II x2 @ stock speeds would handle this game too well.

Hmm. I'd like to pick this game up. I've been looking at a couple of reviews and they are saying the graphics are amazing and while the story is kind of dead just the game play itself is really fun.

I think you should be good!

I think im going to pass on Rage... Maybe I will get the demon souls instead

yeah I am very upset with the game. It is good but the amount of bugs is ridiculous. I have never seen a game developer release a game like this.

if ou're gunna do something to your monitor, pack it up and send it to me, i'll keep it safe for ya, and make sure it doesn't get lazy too ;)

I bought Rage for the xbox, and that version is glitch free (so far). I see the potential of AwesomLy outright demanding graphics for the computer version! I wish I would have bought it for the computer . But, I don't have the hardware for the PC that I want to play new games on yet..

I got it running perfect now. It is a very good game. Graphics are not the best textures, but the overall style is amazing. Game play is also great! The story and voice acting is top notch too.

Here are some screens I took:

These are both in game, not cinematic....
