puting to fans on a CPU???!

the product is a splitter, so if you only had one power cable left, putting that on would give you two, but dont use too many as it will eventually effect hte 12v rail

As for two fans on the cpu, do you mean one directly on top of the other. If so i think it owuld create problems, both fans would not be turning in synch and so the turbulence could prevent decent airflow.

Are you having overheating problems as you seem to be adding a lot of fans, placinga few in strategic places can have a better overall effect than just adding lots

Any help will be apreicated!

No don't put two fan on top of each other. This will create turbulance (as jimmymac said) and corrupt the air flow making your temps worse.

BTW: your post is in the wrong section, it should be in "CPUs and Overclocking"

EDIT: PCU??? You mean CPU or PSU?

o! well, then perhpas adding it near it....shooting on it...
and yes, my computer is almost having some overheat problems....i am changing many fans in the PC, putting some that have lights and all that also....
i am trying to find a 90mm fan....can't find much on best buy site....gota go there...
and for the cable splitter, i think i will ge tone....not too sure yet....

what do you guys suggest on how to arrenge the fans?

do you have any pictures of your case, ideally take an internal shot then some external shots to show a full round view of your case.

From there it will be easier to determine where to put fans and other things to aid the heating.

Ideally you want an intake at the front and then a couple near the cpu and gpu as outflows, that should provide efficient airflow through the case to reduce temps.

A fourth is sometimes useful near the PSU as that generates a lot of heat but as i said, some decent pics would be useful to get an idea of where fans can be placed

thx....i just finished editing my pic, but i tihnk i rather like your way, like that it will be better quality but it took too long, so therefor, i will attach :P
Here is my PC....but it changed a bit (since my sister has the camera today, i could not take a recent pic)

-My videocar dis switch with my modem....(in the PCI slot)
-My new fan is right tied to that Red wire near the hard drive
-lots of these wires are hidden now, i hid them in my empty disk space....
also, my fan on the red cord, it is pointing toward my videocard, so half of it goes on mt modem abd vivdeo card, and the pther half is kinda up...tilted a bit toward the mobo....

any sugestions now? ;)

This is how my PC look likes (well the same)

On front, where the color is silver, behind that their is lots of little holes, and at the bottom their is an opening, so i guess i shouldn't have problem with getting air inside...

that hard drive is in the perfect location for an intake fan, is there anywhere else the drive can be mounted.

I see you have a bay for your floppy drive, whats in the space above that (just below the spaces for the optical drives)

above their is all my Memory Car dreader (SD card) and beside it their is also some USB, a firewall, and some jacks...
Motoxude, my fan isn't blowing on the hard drice, its blowing on the videocard....and over it....

processor is intel Pentium 4, and the temp is very low now, 43°C, but when i do my school itgoes very high!

it will shoot up when under load but i dont think the temps are actually that high for a computer with stock cooling on the cpu. What does it go up to when working/under load. Sounds to me like its well within parameters.

Any way you could get a fascia for the front of your spare optical bay and slot the card reader in there so that you could use the spot where the HDD is for an intake fan.

Otherwise i think your gonna need to make a hole for a new fan in the side panel of your case to give it some airflow

that is actually a good idea! i will try to put the Hard drive in that empty spot, and then get an intake fan...
btw, in the softwear speedfan, thus HD0 Temparature is the hard drive temparature?

That would be correct.

i changed it! Everything works! i'm so glad...now i jsut need an intake fan, but do you have any suggestions to where i should put my new fan now (the one that is shooting on my videocard)
