Power Supply

Apart from the fact that I can't read greek, the product descriptions tell you nothing except the total Wattage. Can you give us another website that is in English and/or has better details?

I'm not sure there is a program to do that. There's isn't any information about wattage being sent from the psu to the motherboard, only power. If you want to find out, you'll have to get yourself an amp meter, and only if you know what you are doing.
So, the short answer is no.

So you definately suggest I get a new PSU?
Another short answer, yes.

You need to find a website with better detailed descriptions though. If you have model numbers, search the manufacturer's website for what we have talked about - total watt figure and amperage for each rail.

ok, thanks very much

No problem. :) When you have chosen one you think is suitable at a price you can afford, post the link before you buy it.

To be entirely honest I have no idea what I'm looking for, I'm extremely sorry to put you into the trouble, but could you suggest a PSU from one of the following stores?
www.microanvica.com
www.amazon.co.uk
(preferably amazon)
Sorry for the trouble

Thanks a million

PS - Do you have MSN by any chance, since talking through here could take hours...

Hmmm well for that amount of money it'd be pointless upgrading, in my opinion, since what you'd be getting wouldn't be much better than what you have at the moment. Also, amazon.co.uk doesn't sell power supplies, and microanvica.com doesn't provide that all important info, which would make the search harder.

You shouldn't be looking for anything much below the specs of the 400W model here. But I checked out the shipping charges for quietpc.com, and they're almost as much as the power supply itself!

If you can find a website from Greece that's in English and also has a table like the one above for each of the products, that'd be perfect. Without that, it'll either cost a fortune, or you won't really know what you're getting. (Plus Greek prices will be cheaper anyway).

Haha, I must be going blind. Thank you for linking it for me. I'll try and do some legwork looking at the manufacturer's websites, but as I said before, for under £50-£60 you won't be getting anything decent.

And yes, Q-Tech is crap. QTechnology is a different company, and is much better.

Edit: I've had a good look at amazon, and I was right, they don't sell psu's. Every one on their site is either sold by someone else, limited availability or discontinued.

Mains input is 220V in Greece, not 230V, I'm really not sure whether that will cause a problem. (Taken from this site.)

And I'll edit the picture you posted with the numbers you want to see.

That's roughly what you want, as close to that as possible. Seriously, amazon doesn't have anything that is suitable. They don't sell power supplies. The ones on their site are being sold by other companies.

I feel guilty for keeping you up at 4 am searching for PCUs for me, anyway how can I thank you? Your're too kind.
