i ordered a case with a power supply...i have a amd xp 2100+ and ac37 motherboard...when i plug in this power supply unit (psu) it runs all fans but nothing else cant even eject dvd rom,,,when i plug in my original psu it works fine...when i plug the new psu into my other computer which has a intil pentium 4 it works fine..the board for my amd does not have a p4 connector, the intel does///would this make a difference..i wouldnt think so cause my original psu also has a p4 connector which i dont use...is there psu that are compatible with certain types of boards like for amd and athlon..?

p4 suppleis have an extra cable or two to provide extra power..and there could be a chance that this is disrupting the AMD board, excecialy as its an old one..
