since my motherboard only supports socket 478 processors, im planning to upgrade my motherboard and processor. im worried that my psu wont be able to support the new processor and motherboard.
lets see the psu's link.
also, what proc and mobo? are you getting a new video card?
i just replaced my 7800gt with a 7900gtx and my psu won't handle my overclock lol..
its all good though i plan on getting the OCZ 700watt gamexstream psu. (4 12V rails! each 18A!! )
(currently running default cpu clock)
if you're getting a new GFX card then tell us which one. 6600gt might not require above 320watts... then again, the psu might have a low amperage rating.
if i got a new one for a low powered system id get this though. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817159040#DetailSpecs
500 watts, two 12v rails each at 18A, and active PFC.
make sure your motherboard has a 24pin connector though. that could be an issue. i think 20pins are forward compatible but 24-pins arent backward compatible.
