But I've already seen those sites and still I can't get OE working.

The following message keeps appearing in a box.

"The host 'SMTP@talktalk.net' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3@talktalk.net', Server: 'SMTP@talktalk.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D."

My ISP is Talktalk.net

I'm obviously doing something wrong but I don't know what!
 
Your best bet is to contact your isp for help setting it up. It's possible that you need smtp authorization to send emails. Can you receive email but just not send it?
