I'm interested in buying a custom built pc, came across some good deals on ebay, im not expecting the very best but im hoping for a big difference with the computer i have now.

My computer specs:

Hard drive: 455GB
Power supply: 175W
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) 9600 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Memory: 2560MB RAM
Graphics card: Nvidia 240GT

the computer i have seen on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VIBOX-QC-...t=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item336645c01a

Is 450W a decent power supply? Like, would i be able to upgrade the graphics card later on if needs be?
Also i'll be new to the ATI Radeon graphics card, what is the nvidia equivilant to the 5450?

I'll be wanting to play BF3 on high settings, will this pc handle that do you think?

Thanks

The brand/model determines the quality of a PS, not the wattage. A quality 450w ps will go a ways towards powering graphics, but not very far.

A HD 5450 or the nVidia equiv. isn't acceptable for the gaming you want to do.

How much can you spend, assuming the tower portion only?

I am willing to pay up to £700 for a new pc, do you have any recommendations?

And thank you for your quick response, i am not that good when it comes to computers and really appreciate your advice.

Would you be willing to buid it yourself if you had all the right parts?

Tower + Windows 7?

building is the way to go, not to sound cheazy, but it offers way better value performance reliability and wayyyy better warranties, and we will be able to pick out the perfect setup for you, and we also have a tutorial for building at the top of this section of the forum.

Like mentioned that Ebay computer is crap,For £700 you can get a decent pc.

Thing is would you consider building your own if we choose the parts for you?
Or are you only after a pre-built?

Hi, thank you all for your replies.

I am looking for a pre-built one as i am useless at computers and would probably go wrong down the line even with clear instructions lol!

That is why i was looking at pre-built ones where you can customize yourself what goes into the tower.

That last link where to just change the psu to 650W looks good!

Just another question, is it wise to get 2 Hard drives or will 1 be enough cos that 1TB is lot!

I will probably confirm what components i choose before ordering, also i am interested in looking at any other websites like this.
