oblivion... shock vs. fire vs. frost shield

shock does electrical damage, frost does cold damage, and fire does heat damage. each one has their uses. different enemies have different weaknesses.
 
he's talking about the shields tough ^^ but you're right,.. except that on this topic the names would indicate against what school of magic the shield will work (for dmg resistance, or immunity :) )
 
oh, i didn't see that shield part. well, the shield would protect against that particular damage.
 
I like to shield against fire the most since most attacks are from in oblivion, which creatures there use fire. Electrical damage (i think) are the best spells, along with frost, because not many creatures resist electrical. It all just depends who you are fighting.
 
well, ive got some different shield enchantments (sigil stone enchantments) and i want to know which one to use on my daedric shield....
so the shock shield would block XXX% of damage from shock attacks?
maybe i ought to just use my spellbreaker shield... things amazing, like 30% spell reflection... i highly suggest you pick it up, its in the daedric quests. (the one where a daedra requests you complete a task for them, not sure which daedra though... the one where all their worshippers are trapped in oblivion.)
