No one can help. Im screwed....(Trucrypt Problems)

I have 1TB HD, and on the hard drive I created a partition (488Gb) that is TrueCrypt encrypted device with a hidden volume (200Gb).
Mistakenly I re installed windows to that partition and TrueCrypt wont mount the device. I used "Volume Tools-Restore header" and got the device to mount (only the non-hidden volume tho) but I cant view the contents because im getting the "Do you want to format?" message followed by an error stating it cant read it.
I used every kind of data recovery software and only got back a couple of the files. There has got to be a way I can fix the volume. Please HELP!!!

**I ran CHKDSK r on it and nothing more came out of it other than my PC recognizes the partition now.
 
You will most likely have to contact the maker of true crypt for support. As you can see there is a downside of encrypting your data.
 
Truecrypt isn't in development anymore. Ciphershed is a fork. https://ciphershed.org/ Then there is disckcryptor.

I use Truecrypt and use an external drive to back up my files then encrypt those as well.

If you installed Windows over your Truecrypt volume you are shit out of luck. This is why it's important to create back ups! I see this all the time.

I find it odd that you were able to recover a few files. Have you tried a formatted recovery program? Which programs did you use? When I formatted a partition and needed it back I believe I used Ease us Data Recovery.

I was able to recover a few files because I mounted the restored volume header and it mounts just fine but i cant acess it because windows says i need to format it. I used Recuva, testdisk, photorec, getdataback and only recieved a couple files when i know there are much more in the hiddene and the non hidden volumes.

I am trying a formatted recovery program now and I will let you know what happens.
 
Is there anyone proficient with trucrypt here?

I used iCare format recovery program and it only brought up the windows files, nothing in the trucrypt container. :( There has got to be a way where i can locate the volume header and have trucrypt recognize it.
 
Next time create back ups. This could be seen as unprofessional even though it isn't your fault.

I was thinking this was the other guy with the hard drive problem and had a novel on his computer. oops.
