nforce4 chip temperature

does anyone know whats a good temperature for the nforce4 chip?

presuming the one in the sig...what temp do you mean? As you listed this topic in cases i assume you mean system temp not cpu temp or otherwise?

Heya

You are clearly referring to the Nforce 4 chipset. I would say 50 Celsius is the ideal temperature for it. I have a passive cooler on my Gigabyte mobo on my Nforce 4 Ultra chipset and it hits a max of 72 Celsisus, which is still aceptable according to Gigabyte.

yea i've tuned down my chipset fan and was wondering what kinda temperatures would still be ok before i set it on fire... it doesn't seem to have a temperature sensor

according to my finger, it should be around 55-65C idle, so i guess its fine. i turn it bak to full power when i game btw

No. Its nvidias latest generation of motherboard chipsets.

Well... all chipsets are "onboard". Do you mean does it have onboard video?

Its the onboard nforce4 chipset, the intel 945 is also a chipset. And yes it's onboard, but it doesnt mean that you have an integrated geforce card.
