Need some help

OKay cool. Sorry but I have 1 more question non driver related. After I installed the audio driver the sound works fine. I plugged my gaming headset in to see if it worked and the sound does, but for some reason the mic doesnt. I know I am plugging it into the right jack and I know that the mic works, any reason why this would be happening?
 
Look in the sound setting and make sure its not muted. There should have been a sound program included and installed with the drivers.
 
check in windows sound options (control panel)
sometimes settings in there override/conflict with other programs
