Hey all, iv got gta iv working on 1.04 on steam with icenhancer 2.1. I want to install a load of cars but keep getting the traffic bug.

I cant for the life of me work out how to make the game moddable to use trafficload. I need an asi loader/scripthook all that crap.

Can someone please explain to me (in silly man talk) step by step how to get the damn thing working with custom cars.

Download links would be awesome to for all the necessities.

I have LCPDFR installed with all my mods (Id link the site but my stupid internet doesnt wanna load it up right now) and LCPDFR has its own exe installer program that will install an asi loader.

And, you dont even have to use the mod if you dont wanna as it wont run until you push alt-p I think it is.

Im using Traffic Load as well. It works perfectly with the car pack I have installed.

www.lcpdfr.com

What car pack do you use? And are you on 1.04?

I dont want to go to 1.07 as it looks crap due to the change of shaders.

No. Im using 1.0.7. Its much better if you ask me. Im using real car pack 2. I think. But lcpdfr will work on patch 4 and will also install your asi loader and scripthooks.

the thing with 1.07 is rockstar changed the shaders so icenhancer doesnt look as good :P I prefer 7 for performance and ease of use. But looks wise. not so much.

Icenhancer 2.1 works fine in patch 7. I posted screens in the screenshot thread.

Yeh it works fine but doesnt look as good. Like i said the shaders were changed. Also patch 7 has a tendencey to have the red sky bug.

Downgrade your version of gta youll see what i mean. Patch 4 is hundred times better in the look department.

Too much work for me. The red sky is very seldom and I get 65fps on the benchmark without
Icenhancer so im not bothered. But did you get an asi loader installed?

This is why i was asking for links, generally the scripthooks and asi loader packages come with a dsound file. iv had atleast 3 different ones and none of them works with patch 1.0.4

Im going to install GTA IV again this week end,What tools do you guys use to import/change cars?

Is SparkIV still decent or is there a better tool?
Does anyone know if SparkIV works with the Steam version of GTA IV?

I still use SparkIV and yes its still good. Dont know about the steam version though, I only have retail. Although the files should be the same its more about finding them I think. They may be arranged differently but it should contain all the same files.

If you decide to install mods, the first mod I would suggest would be making you player look like Darth Vader. :D.
SparkIV still works well, I don't know about the steam version.
But still installing mods on GTA IV is a pain in the a** , once you get used to installing mods in Skyrim, using the nexus mods manager.
