Mobile Intel® PM45 Express Chipset

Hi i have a Laptop Sony VGN-CS-17G with PM45 Express Chipset. i want to upgrade the laptop;

current RAM is 3GB, motherboard Specification says it can support 8 GB but confuse that each slot can support only 2 GB. please any clarify the same.

about GPU it have Nvedia Geforce 9300 can i upgrade to latest and advise which one possible?

Hi welcome to CF.

Looks like you currently have (1x2Gb + 1x1Gb) sticks of ram in there
Your laptop has 2 slots for ram. (not max 2gb ram each slot)

You would need to get 2x 4GB sticks if you want 8GB of ram,As far as i can see,Your laptop supports 800Mhz PC2-6400.

As for upgrading the 9300 Graphics,Unfortunately nothing you can do about this in that Laptop.
