Longhorn

Vista isnt that great, the BETA that i got was barely finished at all, shouldnt have even qualified as a BETA. It all worked but to what degree was another story. I couldnt connect to my wireless entwork cos there were no drivers for my net card. Screen was on default 800x600 @ crappy colours due to no drivers for my gfx card. The BETA i had didnt even have the new fangles WinFS file system on it, just the normal NTFS stuff.

The GUI was resource intensive and the see through glass work just got on your nerves. definately not something to temp me into buying the full final version when it finally comes out. If anything its just prolonged and enhanced my love for RedHat9.

right with you there!

I think im gonna hold on to WinXP Pro for as long as possible, until MS sort all this crappy DRM stuff out, i really dont think they have the right to govern PC users like that, its just a big way to loose customers rapidly. Normal users will be fine with it, but computer entusiasts, AKA us, are gonna be clamped down on something mad... Its just stupid.

haha i downloaded XP x64 edition once, from microsoft as a trial. stupid mistake i made, piece of crap. lol
i cant wait for vista though... as if dual core wasnt enough 64-bits comiing....
then again we'll need 64-bit for everything else as well.
