Little Help Please

Hi guys! I need a little help. Here is my computer that I am having built by Friday:

AMD X2 4200+ cpu
ATI Radeon X1900 XT video card
MSI K8 Crossfire mobo
2GB DDR PC3200 RAM
Thermaltake 470 Watt psu
X Cruiser Case (black & silver)
250GB 7200RPM 8MB SATA hard drive
LG 16X DVD RW
Windows media editon with remote
19" Samsung 8ms LCD

Should I go with the Thermaltake PSU or is that a bad idea? I don't know what their quality is like.
 
ThermalTake gets good and bad opinions at times. Enermax and Antec as well Cooler Master also run high on the list The Antec True Power 480w runs "quiet" according to someone known here having just built a new case. Enermax also offers a 460w supply for about the same price. The two brands do have a slightly higher price. One the other hand a Cooler Master Real Power 450w runs slightly cheaper.

If you are building a gaming case or planning to add hardwares you may decide to go with a little more power with a 520-600w supply to have a little extra onhand. Other then that the 470w should cover the rest. Antec and Enermax are obviously favored here as yuo have already guessed by now.
 
Usally, I hear good stuff about them. Whether your getting your stuff from newegg or not, I'd go there and find a review about it. Usally the user reviews for items can be quite helpful...

I wouldn't depend on only reviews seen there or any other vendor by itself. Generally a wider search and look over of several reviews as well as product specifications can be play a role when deciding. :cool: The online reviews seen at magazine sites is obviously flavorized for one brand or another.
 
Thermaltake is far better then buying a case with a supply included where you don't how good the supply as well as being underpowered for running the new higher end type cards like the X1900 XT. If you want to add hardwares later you can then jump up a little to a 550w or 600w supply if it calls for it.
