iRiver doesn't show up in My Computer

I have a problem guys. When I connect my iRiver T10 with my USB, it no longer shows up in My Computer. I started having problems a few days ago when the device showed up under a weird icon, not the normal one; then it stopped showing up at all. WMP detects it fine, and sync music works, but i need to get to the player through My Computer because I have files (other than music) that I have to access. I updated the firmware a minute ago, and its no different. If you guys could give some advise it would be awsome. Thanks.
 
I dont know what your problem could be- thats wierd. I had the iFp-795 (until it formatted itself) and it worked fine- but i had to use iRiver music manager. I think you might be screwed. Try it on another comp.

Yeah, I'm begining to think I'm gonna have to format, but then that will get rid of the files :mad:
 
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling in a different usb. I know you said you updated the firmware.. but try uninstalling it.

So, if it turns out like burgerbob said.. try installing in another comp.. get the files off, and the format it.
 
Ok, I tried a different USB, reinstalled it and it doesn't work. I even formatted the player (yes I got rid of the files) and it still doesn't show up. This is really getting annoying.
