installing hd in antec 900

His screws are so big, Eh? Sounds interesting...

You use the biggest screws out of the bag you get.

They're only 1 size except 1 kind has a lip around it for the motherboard, but they're so tiny like 1/2inch and the ones in that pic are what 1inch? I will get a picture one sec

ah, I see the problem. your screws are blurry, no wonder they dont work. :)

kidding aside, iirc you have to use the longest screws for your hdd. (since the brackets the hold the hdd extend the width to 5.25inc, instead of the original 3.5inch hdd. (the part you posted in the first post, that holds the hdd I mean. )

the small screws (without the jagged edge around the thread) is for the motherboard. hte small screws with the jagged edge around teh thread is for the pci cards. and the long screws are for the hdd and floppy drive. (and similair, shorter screws are for the optical drive. )

note: dont have this case myself, a friend of mine does, so trying to recall the info here. (meaning, I could have it wrong :o )

There are two threading patters. The coarse threads go with the hard drives and case. The finer threads are for optical and floppy drives. The size of the screw heads doesn't matter unless you are using a drive bay that uses the screw heads as part of the locking mechanism - only the threading matters.

I have thousands of spare screws around here of every size and typy imaginable so I never run into the problem. If you were here I would just give you what you need. Maybe you can find someone like me in your area.
