If you had my rig

I changed my mind. I had suggested to get a HD4870 but as dirty said, just keep it. I mean look at mine, I have a poor E2160 + HD3870 + 2GB RAM setup... I can run Crysis on mid-high, max out COD4 & 5, I'm sure you can keep that rig for some time, save your money and get a big upgrade that's gonna make you a lot happier than just getting a new HD4870. :)

I agree, just keep it. Your rig looks similar to mine, and I'm totally satisfied. I don't think upgrading would be worth the money.

Sure you can keep that rig, but id say upgrade the video card. Your system is by far not out of date, but the graphics card could use a little upgrade. On amazon I saw a Visontek 4870 new for like $220 Im sure 150 of your money is worth more then that. Who knows you may want to wait for another price drop.

P35-DS3L FTW :D

Huh?

Yup, seems to be a pretty solid overclocker, though I haven't tried any others, so I don't know for sure....

What would a new graphics card do for you? I would think you would just go from 40 fps to 70fps (in most games), and is that difference really worth alot of money?

And no, it will not future-proof you. By the time you would be "future proofed", the card will cost less than half the current price.

Anyone agree?
