What would you do to improve its performance even more?

just curious to know :P

also before anyone says "upgrade to i7 with a $1000 budget forget it!" hehe....im talking a £150 budget here.

specs in siggy

Either an SLI mobo and second GT upgrade, or a new GPU.

I'm putting money towards an i7 build, but want to wait a few months, since some new stuff will probably come out.

Get an HD4850. That should take you at least a year. Then save for a whole i7 upgrade.

ive heard the 4850 really isnt that much better than the 8800GT. according to tom's hardware its less than 10% better. doesnt justify the money imo

I vote either the 4850 or 4870 if you do a gpu upgrade.
The idea of a new motherboard wouldn't be a bad choice either.

If I had your rig id be saying "wtf I have this rig all ready"

I would sell the 8800GT and buy a GTX260 should be in the price range. If possible the 4850x2 or GTX280 would work too.

4850 is pretty much a 8800GT so the price vs performance so not worth the upgrade. Mirror specs too.

whats a 4850 cost over there? if its 100/pop, i would sell your current graphics card for 50 pounds, and get two 4850's, because you have a mobo that supports crossfire

True The 4850 isn't a bad card but I agree if he has the 8800gt and its that close then go a diffrent path.

i was thinking about a new GPU,but i think my GT will last some time yet

nah the 4850 is only just a little bit better than the GT,so like you said not worth it.

I say save your pennies and wait until you have enough for an entire new build :P

i think i will,i might go AMD next time because the Phenom 2s are looking good,so who knows what AMD will release sometime next year.
