Wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened. Bands have purposefully leaked music before releasing an album. Some TV shows have leaked episodes before a new season. Why not do it with a product?

Yeah, thats what gave me the idea, that and the fact ebay hasnt shut down any of the auctions even though they are inherently illegal. I was thinking of it more as a joke to start, but now i have myself somewhat convinced thats what intel is doing haha.

I've seen people on ebay selling lots of engineering samples. mainly core 2 quads, some guy had 50 Q9300 engineering samples! he sold every single one of them too. didn't have a CPU-Z screenshot though.
 
someone on here should buy one, just to see if its real, and give us an early reveiw. theres gotta be at least one rich sob on CF

No, it's socket 1366, but I'm sure not all boards will support the chip.

I can hope. :cool: But, not like I'd ever be able to afford one. :( Or need one. :D
