You can but, its better to get rid of it by going to run and typing "msconfig". Then click the startup tab. look for that one and uncheck it.

Yes, fix that entry with HijackThis.

I also suggest you download and run the Norton Removal Tool to get rid of the last remnants of Norton.

Your logfile also shows signs of Viewpoint Manager:
Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything bad. It is known to be intrusive, but there is some possibility that it is now being used by those companies to give them info about your habits. It is not considered spyware since this is not clear, but I would not tolerate it on my machine if I didn't install it.

I suggest you remove it. To do so, click on Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs. Click on Viewpoint Manager and click Remove.

I must had over looked it. It wasn't called Viewpoint Manager in there though, it was called Viewpoint Media and it is deleted now. Thanks again!
 
^^ Just to be sure can we see another hijackthis log. Sometime viewpoint leaves behind the services if not un-installed correctly. Just to be on the safe side.
 
First of all back up any data you may need, period. Secondly, never ever ever download any active x plug in, unless you know it is from a secure source. Active x is junk, and a HUGE security hole.

Boot up in safe mode, and go into msconfig and disable all start up items. Run, your anti-spyware software and have it remove everything.

Your HJTL contains a lot of weird things, mostly concerned with registry entries which tells me your OS will have lots of issues.

So, first back up everything because this may not be totally fixable, and if it is, your system still may not run at 100% afterwards. So, back everything up just in case for a wipe and reload.
