I have a HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One and the Small Screen does not work, only have bright light and blank screen when press the set up button

Is there any solution for that and how can i solve it?

Many Thanks

It's not a driver issue. He is talking about the small led screen on the printer itself. There is a problem with the printer, could just be a bad screen. You will need to take this in for servicing or just buy a new printer. HP printers are notorious for having random failures.

I know what he is talking about John, this is a common problem that can be solved by reinstalling the driver an power cycling the unit.

To the OP:

  1. Download the link i previously provided and reinstall the driver
  2. Open solution center on your computer, click on settings.
  3. Place your mouse over scan settings and a small menu will pop up.
  4. Select "scan to... setup"
  5. You will see a list of options on the left, they should all be on the right for printer to access them.
  6. Once they are all moved over, click update the device.
  7. Next power cycle the printer and close solution center.
  8. Attempt to scan from your printer once it comes back up.

It has nothing to do with the driver..... A driver doesn't control the lcd screen on the printer. The screen works when you turn it on when you take it out of the box and plug it in, there is no driver installed at that point. Where are you coming from?????

I'm covering all bases, which is better than simply saying get a new one.

Most of my instructions relate to power cycling the device which will probably sort the issue.

Don't think it has anything to do with drivers or the printer program.

1. Unplug it for a minute, plug it back up and see if it works.
2. If its still under warranty send it back. If not proceed to number three.
3. Smack it on the side a few times.

If one thru three does not work proceed to number four.

4. Get a new one.
