How well will this system overclock?

Hey guys, I'm new to overclocking and just built my new computer.

Specs:
Thermaltake Mk1 Chaser
Asus Maximus 5 Extreme LGA1155 z77 Motherboard
i7 3770k processor
Corsair H60 CPU Cooler
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8gb) at 1.6Ghz
Radeon HD 7950 Graphics Card

The CPU is at 3.5GHz. How much can I overclock it? and will I be able to know the difference?

I'm new to overclocking and such. So I'm spending a lot of time reading and stuff about it. and could use some help with my specific specs.

Should overclock quite well. Daily overclock averages in the 4.5-4.6ghz range.

Basically however high you can go fully stable with 1.35 or less Vcore.

With my H60 at 4.5 (daily) I see temps at idle in the mid 30c, load mid/high 50c, and stress mid/high 60c, but that's with my i5 2550k. I hear that the new i7/i5 runs alittle hotter then the last gen. CPU's, so expect alittle higher temps.

FYI, personalty I would go for the Antec H20, over the H60.

If you don't have it yet I would recommend a good aircooler over a h60...
Most aircoolers for the same money or even less should cool better.

The h60 is ok though, I would say 4.5ghz max as daily overclock

There's nothing wrong with an H60, it's as good as any high end air cooler if you put fans in push/pull configuration.

If he already has an H60, no need to get anything else.

4.5 would not be a max, it really depends the Vcore it takes to get stable.

As for Ivy bridge running hotter than sandy, it's negligable at best.

Didn't mean it like that man xD. The h60 is a good cooler though, it was difficult for me to chose between it and the one I've know... (Coolers as a noctua nh-d14, silver arrow sb-e and other pretty big coolers that cool somewhat better I ment with high end aircooler from the same price)
And I said also 4.5ghz for a 'daily' oc, It can easy reach 4.7ghz with temps not going over 80 degrees. It's just because its daily I wouldn't oc to that high.

Thanks guys, I already bought the H60. The reason I bought this one and not an expensive cooler is because within the next few months I will be installing a waterblock for my CPU for liquid cooling. I just got my SSD today so I will be installing Win8 on it later on today and we will see how well everything works so far. I will first try to OC to 4000MHz then push it to 4200MHz and hopefully reach 4500MHz with it being stable. I also got Crysis 1 & 2 so we will see how hot it gets under load ;)
