This is what I like about Dell's, you have the option to get a high capacity 9 cell battery, vs the 4 or 6 cell ones you get with laptops at stores which last maybe 2-3 hours tops.
It is, I can still get close to 5-5.5 hours if i'm just typing a document or browsing the web. That must just be idling. I want to see you use the laptop for everyday tasks for 6 hours straight. I'm willing to bet you will not get that proposed 6 hours.
I can't underclock it more then speedstep does, and 60Hz is all the monitor supports. If you really want to see how far your battery goes, try underclocking your card and turn you refresh rate all the way down.
If you just unplug your laptop from the wall or just turn it on, it takes a few minutes before a time will show.hey how come my laptop cant tell me how much hours are left it only tells me the percentage
I bought mine for both, obviously not game mobile since when I play high end games the batter only lasts 1-1.5 hours, which I guess is decent in terms of gaming.mine will last up to about 2hrs. but i didnt really buy my laptop to run off of the battery. i only really bought a laptop so i could take it abroad etc.. with my... somewhere where i can plug it in and use it...
