Holy shit - 72C

I'm sitting at 70 °C idle, as well... so I honestly don't know. I just know that it gets really hot when I play games. It's having its own little bonfire...
 
My GFX card is at 54 C idle, and doesnt get to hot when playing games so dont know about ya! Mine is at 54 now!
 
Hmm... grr... now I have to SAVE for something, or just part with my computer for a few days to take it in to get fixed.

I woudnt worry about it too much. Whats the load temp? Most graphic cards can run over 100* C fine.
 
How would I find the load temp?

I'm semi-computer literate.

And I probably should get it looked at... the fan on the Motherboard, as I was watching one day, spun, stopped, grinded, spun, slowed, sped up, stopped, made some grinding noises, spun... stc.

Play a game for about 10 minutes (something like HL2), then press ALT+TAB and if you have an ATI card run ATITool and if you have a NVidia card run I don't know what. *falls to sleep* ZzzzZzzzZ
 
38C idle here.

Speaking of 70C, my old P3 I had ran at ~70-75C for weeks, I didnt realize when I put something into the comp I didnt plug the fan back in on the HSF and it ran like that for a few weeks, then when I checked my temps I was like whoa WTF.. looked and saw it wasnt plugged in.. D'oh!
 
Use RivaTuner to record temperatures. It's a little warm but it's not too much to worry about yet. The card doesn't clock down until you hit 115C
 
My 6600GT used to Idle around 35, Load 55. Now with my AC NV6, 29 Idle, 49 Load. So If i were you, I would invest in one, they make a big difference (And are quieter than the stock fan, unless its a passive cooler)
 
no offence Ashley, but she cant afford anything really, her case has very poor air circulation and the fact that her step father wouldent let her buy an NV Silencer for the computer doesnt help
 
Well, I DO have some money now, Mike. That birthday of mine last month gave me quiet a bit. But yes.. the roadblock of a stepfather.
