Help with overclocking my x2 6000+ 3.1ghz

I need some help with overclocking my AMD Athlon x2 (D00L KOR) 6000+ 3.1 ghz

I heard it can overclock pretty well, and I want to increase the performance of mine a little, so I can beat the common system score in 3dmark06. :)

I don't know how to overclock CPU's, I googled it and the guides were too complicated for me, I also searched on the forum and couldn't find anything.

Here are 2 screenshots of CPU-Z and Core temp with only firefox running

Don't know if I should make a new topic but my core temps are really low. Could it be because of the graphics card fan is huge. But the actual graphics card is in the way so how it's that low... weird.

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you: Ghetto cooling

I removed the side panel off my computer and place a mini fan next to it and CPU temps dropped by 10 degrees.

26 1 core 29 other

where did you find your 6000+ black edition?
you should get a very decent overclock, my 5000+ be can run 3.3 stable, and 3.4 pretty much stable, on air.
 
I ordered it.

I went to the place where I got my computer built which is a small store (its rly small only 2 people work there lol).

And they have acess to some website where they get computer parts.

I live in poland btw.

IF you can overclock cause you said u OC yours then tell me how please.
 
Never saw a X2 6000 3.1ghz. Brisbane core thats a BE. The Windsor core X2 6000 90nm. at 3.0ghz with 2mb. of L2 was a BE. If its not a BE you cant raise the multiplier. You will have to use the bus.

If you want to try the easier safest route. Bump your HT back to X4. Set you memory back one speed, say if its DDR2 800 set it back to 677. Then start raising your bus up a few mhz. at a time. When it starts getting unstable bump the mhz back a few till it stables back out. Or if you want to go more you will have to start bumping up the cpu voltage. But if you do keep a eye on your temps.
 
Hypertransport, your HT runs at 1000/2000, when you raise the bus speed the HT goes up to, doesnt like it to much, so you set it back to 800/1600-Crash/blue screen/freeze/restart/errors
