i bought this cheap LCD scren and now i am getting ghost images. the odd part about it is the ghost images are only at the top of the screen and no where less. is there a fix to get rid of these images? i know not using the monitor for long peridos of time gets rid of them.

Are you talking about screen burn? If so then they also suggest you leave your monitor turned on with a white background for a bit to get rid of the burn. Try leaving it this way overnight while you sleep or something.

LCD's can get ghosting at times, it can worsen through time too. Do you see a trail when you move your pointer? or when you've got your browser up and then minimize, you see the image slowly fade away? That would be ghosting. I see the same problem on laptops too. When we see that, it's RMA time. :(

it is burn in not ghosting sorry. leaving it white over night? that sound like it would make it worse.

No it is supposed to help. I have read a few articles on the subject.

Yea, they dont have burn in, but they suffer from something just like it, "Image Persistence"

Heres some info about it and how to fix it.

Yea that's it :). Could not remember what it where called. However it is basicly the same thing. LCD burn in.

Yes you have it set to shut off every five minutes in your power settings by the sounds of it. Goto

- Start
- Control Panel
- Power Options
- Set "Turn Off Monitor" to "Never"
